I was inspired to do this after a trip to York Minster. It was entirely created in Substance Designer, and was an exercise in creating a complex, precise height map. I made some custom nodes to help with this. The bulk of it was done with my "Real World Transform" node, which allows the user to make precise adjustments to an input after initially setting a global scene size and height in cm. These values can be exposed and then used to drive all other instances of the node. The other custom node I needed was "Lathe". This allows for the creation of lathed shapes, using 2 input curves. The first represents the shape's profile along it's length, and the second represents it's radial profile.
