I recently completed a new system for generating and processing tile patterns in Substance Designer that I called VersaTile. I created these images to showcase the system.
One of the key features of the system is the ability to generate sequences of color patterns to be applied to the tiles. All nodes include a range of index maps and the ability to ensure the resulting tile pattern is made up of multiples of a specified number of columns and rows. Utility nodes can then be used to process the index maps to generate the colour sequence.
If you're interested in learning more about the system, I made a Notion site with more in depth information and documentation that you can check out here: https://mt-tools.notion.site/MT-VersaTile-System-52de1ca6682a444188588f1d35029b7d
If you wanted to try before you buy there's a free node, MT VT Octagon Weave, which you can get from the ArtStation Marketplace (https://www.artstation.com/matt-taylor/store?tab=digital_product) or my Gumroad page (https://matt-taylor.gumroad.com/?section=YTCjR7nte6p2z9lg_5KNuw%3D%3D).
